not going to pick sides,,, but i have had a hitch receiver break on me once,,, and i will be one to say that saying that you know what to do and being able to do what you want to do are two completely different things,,, ive been trained for many many years how not to panic and to keep calm during intense situations,, ive taught a CPI class (crisis prevention and intervention) for a little over 3 years now,,, so it does take a lot to wind me up,, but i will say that when my reciever snapped,,, and that trailer shot past me and down into the hill on the left side of me there was nothing i could do,,, if i tried to take my truck after the trailer i would have most likely rolled the truck,,
and on a side note,,, anyone that thinks their little 1/2 ton gmt will stop that heavy of a run away trailer shouldnt really be towing anything,,,
