Thanks for the great write T56 swap writeup. It doesn't look like you visit this site anymore, but I wanted to make sure your thread doesn't go stale or lose it's images and files, so I archived it over at http://www.wikiwrench.com/index.php/4L60E_to_T56_Transmission_Swap

Hope you still have your truck and hope it's running well.

      Cheers,
      Jerry

is the 411 hard to find or is it relatively common for ls?

so i was in the junk yard today and happen to stumble across a 411 ls pcm and i was going to get it just because it was available but between rent and buying a new spider injector last month, the funds just werent there, i ment to ask, 4wd is no difference for the 411 right?

i mean i was looking around on ebay and found a 5.3, the harness and computer, shipped to my door for $600, it was used but only had 119,000 it and id probably throw a cam in it and new push rods and what not

well pretty much if i have to tear into the motor at all, id rather just do a swap because my cluster says 240,000 mile, and idk if its the original engine or not but id rather just go ahead and do a LS swap because ive already torn down the whole truck and i hate doing it more then once

well today better jobs i was tinkering with my truck and noticed a clicking sound coming from my drivers side head and soon im going to take off the valve cover and see whats up with it, if i cant just adjust the valves to fix it and it requires head work, i was thinking about just replacing the heads with some CNC'd heads from like summit but by the time i bought the heads i could find a 5.3 or LS1 used for around the same price, so im thinking about doing it, im very michanically inclined but not very electrically inclined, i mean im working on it so im just nervous about all the wiring involved, but like i said i work 2 jobs and time off is rare so idk i have some planning to do

yeah id like to be able to do that because i want to go with electric fans and even electric water pump. but i have some other things i need to do first and i got to get all the money straight, i just started working a second job and i havent been paid by them yet so i just gotta get some things striaght but i eventualy want to do a LS1 swap

well after viewing your truck i love all your ideas but some arent very practical for me, i love the LS PCM and the distributorless set up and would love to do them, i have to say the T56 is quite awesome but i have a Z71 and i dont see the point of getting rid of the four wheel drive if youve got it, i mind as well start with a 2wd, how much have you spent on that beast?
