Which thermostat temp?

Well I think my water pump is starting to leak so I'm gonna buy a new one. Figured I should get a new fan clutch while I'm at it cause I'm willing to bet its original. At this point I might as well throw in a new thermostat. I've been looking at the ac delco stats. They have 160, 180, 195 temp and possibly others. Which one do I go with, I'm looking for best fuel economy and best cooling. Which one is right for me ?

It was designed to use a 195, use that.

I use a 160 but I also live in southern New Mexico where it gets to about 120* in the summers. Even when working hard my temp never passes about 180

I'll be doing a 180 in mine, currently has a 160. The factory is 195 for emissions.

195 is what you want. Optimal performance, fuel mileage, and cooling. Maybe 180 if your in a very hot climate and towing.
