And polar I will be sending that pm about 30 secs after I post this. Heres a odd question, could I run the factory pump with a regulator, just hard wire the pump to a switch or a oil pressure saftey switch?

Yea I ran the fuel pump and ignition to a oil pressure safety switch.

Got the valve springs intoday well watching my girls! So it was hard to get going on it. Plus my valve spring compressor sucks! But I should have everything bolted on, then time to get my wiring and gauges all put in.

Just some updates, damn summit told me the timing gear/chain set I ordered was right, aaaannnnntttt wrong it was for the older non roller style sbc. But thankfuly a friend had a timing gear set for my motor handy. So tomorrow I will be adjusting rockers and bolting the motor back together!

I got it from a buddy, no clue on the brand but its for a vortec motor. Ill get a hold of him and find out more info.

Not a lot of visual stuff to show today, got all the valves adjusted properly I hope! Got the timing covwr on and new pan gasket, then installed the intake and carb!

Bad news is the long tube headers I ordered were the wrong ones, drivers side fits perfect passenger side not so much! Fml! Well gonna send back to summit and oreder a pair of pacesetter long tubes. So for the time being going to use the stock mainfolds if I get the truck running beforei can afford the new headers.
