Do 4l60E's have a Throttle valve kickdown cable like the 700r4's or does the computer tell it when to shift? I am wondering because I went carbed and dont want to burn out the clutches on my transmission.

It's computer controlled. They do make a simulator so you can run carbs.

Computer controlled.

Do you have a "stand alone" box or are you going to run the stock PCM?

I mean that the 4L60E tranny is computer controlled, it doesn't use a cable, but is tied into a powertrain control module that is integrated into the engine electronics. They may a stand-alone box if you want to run a carb.
