My truck did that when the trailer wiring harness shorted out on the bumper.

This is also a good place to check, the connectors like to corrode and fall apart over time.

If you're still running side post terminals, I'd check them first to make sure they're clean and tight.

When you replace a fuse you might coat the fuse with dielectric grease for a better contact. Even though the fuse may not look blown I’d pull it and check for continuity.

Any electrical connections on my vehicles get dielectric grease.
