I didn't rip any of the rings that way. I wrapped them with electrical tape sticky side out. Cut the plastic about 1/8" shy of going all the way around. Make sure the rings are seated properly. Then I tightened the hose clamps. Had them on for about 2 days while I was working on the rest of the trans. For the pump I used 3 5" hose clamps that were combined into one big one. Used two of the bolts through the bolt holes to get started. Then tighten the clamp. Look through the bolt holes to make sure their centered.

Thanks allot its all ways nice to speak with some one who just did it. I have the 4l60e apart on the bench . So im 1/3 way there.I have to dunk it and clean ot in my tank next.
