Top post battery conversion

I want to convert the battery in my 88 K1500 to a top post battery (for obvious reasons lol.) Besides replacing the cables
What do i look for in a battery? Do i just match up the cold cranking amps and physical battery size?

Essentially yes, if there isn't anything wrong with your cables you can just crimp new ends on also. I did mine last year.

Personally I like the biggest battery I can find for the space and then find the highest CCA I can find in that size. In my opinion they seem to last longer when I do that.
