Tan? in 88-94? Tough to find. Your best bet is to find a truck being parted out. New??? Damn near impossible. I found a '89 Scottsdale being parted, and took everything except the seat. I eventually got a set of brown/beige power door panels and sprayed them to match because I could not find tan 88-89 Silverado/SLE power panels.

The interior in this truck was originally blue.

Yes it has been done, I'm not sure how 'hard' it is, but I can imagine it is time consuming. I'll search around a bit, can't find the thread I came across before..

... theres alot to it...97s have air bags and different electronics so in order to convert the entire dash properly, the wiring harness has to be swapped aswell...thats what stopped me from upgrading. I couldnt find a good used cheap 95 donor so I wouldnt need to get into airbags and stuff. It can be done, just depends on how big you want to get into it

Anyone know of anywhere where I can get a carpet for my regular cab that is like the new gmt800s? i dont care for the plastic pieces in the floor that origionally came with the truck and buying a carpet and cutting it to fit isnt a grand idea of mine not to mention I like the look and feel of the gmt800s carpet better

Those plastic pieces are called heal pads. I give my customers the option of with/without, when I make custom carpets. I don't like them either.
You might try to contact 'ACC', (Auto Craft Carpets) and get them to do you up a custom set of carpets made out of the newer style material, with the heal pad deleted. The molds that they use don't care about the type of material, & the heal pad delete would be just one less thing for them to do during the manufacturing process.
