Shift solenoid A and B change the gears and the TCC solenoid ( which is PWM, not on/off) controls converter lockup. What are you trying to do, make a way to control the trans without an ECM?

Why not just get it to a GM dealer and have them time it? If it doesnt' run at all you can always waste a AAA call

X2. This conversions seems like a lot of work for basically nothing. It doesn't have to be a dealer either, there are plenty of independent shops with GM Tech 2s or equivalent.
