I'd go to summit put in your truck and drop and look at the suggestions. I'm running toxic shocks but not sure if i like them yet. Gonna swap front springs first. If not I'll be switching to the qa1 coilovers. Everyone seems to like nitro shocks as well. But then again if you use summits tool for recommending shocks it'll at least get you the correct lengths you'll need for your application.?? 5/8 rear shocks ??
How is your truck lowered? Mine is 4/6 as well. I have 2" spindles and 2"coils front and a flip kit with c-notch and shock extenders rear. Thanks!I've got a 5/6 drop on my 94. I just installed Bilsteins and am pretty happy with them. I've learned to run only Bilstein over the years. Not as stiff as my 86 golf on coils, but it handles well enough for a daily.
Since Bilstein doesn't specifically make a "drop shock", I did some digging and another person provided these part numbers:
Bilstein B6 4600 Heavy Duty Shock Absorber Dodge Dakota, Durango Front 24-064606
Bilstein B6 4600 Heavy Duty Shock Absorber Jeep Cherokee Rear 24-010467
They bolted right up, no issues.
have you taken the measurements you need length wise?I am looking to upgrade my shocks. I have a 4/6 drop but the shocks are kyb gas a justs in front and some old crusty Hellwig air shocks (with a compressor under the hood, that isn't connected) in the rear. It already has shock extenders. I also have over extension/limiting straps (which i haven't seen in many kits?)
Anyway I am looking at belltech 8006/8502's, would these be correct? Any info much appreciated
