So, I made the deal and scored a '99 Yukon Denali in Spruce Green Metallic, with the E55 body, and a relatively intact exterior and interior. The main caveat being, it's just a roller. Motor was yanked by the guy I got it from, who got it from the original owner, a friend's mom. He got it because the trans was supposedly blown. Needs a fair amount of work, but at least it has a title and a key. Only thing that I know for sure the interior is missing is the dash bezel. Suspension is still there, as are the drive shafts. I'll get more/better pics tomorrow after work.

Gonna be a project with my grandpa. His rig, but I get to drive it some when it's pieced back together.

Side note: anyone have GMC centers they'd want to trade for Cadillac crest centers?

Edit: should have said after work today. Since, you know, that was this morning I made the post. :rotflmao:

She does look pretty, I like that color and GM didn't use it much, only on the Denali and Impala SS, I think. I saw a Denali this color a couple of years ago at one of my stores, but didn't get a picture. Never saw it there again of course!
Family projects are the coolest ones! I usually enjoyed wrenching with Dad on our vehicles; I miss that. He imparted a lot of his GM knowledge to me but unfortunately not all of it.....

So, no new pics tonight. To tired from work to go do that, so I'll try to do that tomorrow, once I'm up and going. But I did get the CompNine decode done. The most curious one I found is the paint is listed as 18U Aubergine Metallic.
I thought Aubergine was a red-ish/purple-ish color? And all the primary locations the VIN number coincide. Paint-Ref.com lists 18U as "Dark Gray Green", which certainly matches more closely with the Spruce Green Metallic color. Also, she has the original owners manual, an antique entry tag for Tinker Air Force Base in OKC, and a couple other things.
Also her build date is May 11, 1998, right in my backyard at the Arlington Assembly Plant. And I found an article from '98 that claimed that only about 800 Denalis were produced prior to a worker strike that apparently happened starting in either late May or early June? Could I have somehow stumbled on one of the earliest produced Denalis?

And the disgusting interior. I think she's probably gonna have to be gutted.

All cars on the B-car platform had the option of DGGM but I'm pretty sure ur right that the Denali was only one outside of that. Seems be the 2nd most common color I see on Denalis after black.
