So my sending /sensor unit is now in the driver side head, in the summer months it will climb to around 220+ which makes me nervous, goes back down after moving along. I have a new radiator, fan clutch, fresh coolant 50-59, correct shroud with fan half in & out, new belts and new sensor & gauge. If upon arrival I lazer check the manifold radiator inlet and it says around 190-195'.
In reading on this subject I concluded that there is about a 20-25' difference in the 2 locations, the sensor in the head is also next to a header primary tube, in between them acuallly, so it makes sense to me.
Am I correct n this, or should I move/install another sensor in the intake manifold for reassurances ??
