Does anyone recognize this part from behind my idler? The large one on the left was installed, the small one came from the parts store. The thick part is bent and the pulley isn't in plane with the belt, so I want to get a replacement. I can't find this part in the diagrams.

If I install the smaller bushing the pulley will rub the bracket.

I have no idea what that part is, but I had an issue with this; the original had a special washer on it that tightened it but still allowed the pulley to spin freely. When they sold me this style pulley it would not spin when tightened up. There is another version of this pulley that doesn't have the outward bulge on it, try that one to see if it works.

Right, I think that small aluminum bushing in thy picture is required to keep the pulley spinning free when tightened. In my case the outside edge of the pulley hits the mounting bracket if I use that small bushing. It would spin free otherwise, it just needs a thicker spacer, or a few washers.

Any belt or pulley or photo part reference, if not available through GM illustrations I use the " Gates belt and hose " web parts listing diagrams. Very thorough on engine and various accessories mounted, having air injection, ac or ac delete, std alternator or high output, bearings and so forth.
Almost 100% of the time you remove a part to repair, replace you must reinstall the same group in the same correct order.
Good luck.
