This truck is less than a mile from my house, and ride by it everyday going to and from work. It's been sitting in this guy's yard for a year at least, and I kept saying I was going to stop and ask about it. I was thinking parts truck. Now I see he's listed it on market place for $2000, with a blown head gasket. It looks a little too nice to be a parts truck, but I do want nice parts. Be even nicer if it was cheaper on the price too.

I could get enough parts off of it to justify the cost, but is it too nice to turn into junk, is the question.
Dude, that is absolutely worth the money, even with a blown head gasket. If that were anywhere here in Oklahoma I'd already be talking seriously with my wife.

Trust me, I'm still thinking about it. Could be a flip opportunity, but then I'd have the hassle of trying to sell it, and there's still a ton of GMT400s on the road around here. I think it being 2wd will make it harder to sell.

It would make a hell of a parts truck for Stumpy though.
Should have a 4L80. Would be nice not to change gears anymore.
Good looking doors, with power windows.
Clean bed, that I could cut for new dually fenders.
Just to name a few.

Wonder how much trouble it would be to swap the trans, 454, and computer to Stumpy. Is that even possible/practical?

All kinds of ideas have been swirling around.

6.2 equipped C1500 at the salvage yard. About 3 weeks ago I robbed the interior out of this truck but never noticed it was a 6.2. Old Case IH service truck. Cluster was gone, I wonder how many hard miles it had on it.

Saw this one on Barn Finds, apparently it's gotten bid up to $4000. Interior is good but she needs cab mounts and maybe some frame work.....
Shame cause it's a pretty truck, topside.

Man blowers are expensive. I've seen a few of the TBI Whipples, but never the vortec setup. Those seem extra rare.
