I have to wonder that too. I know lots of people had them painted but I think the stainless steel exterior was one of the coolest things about those cars.

I agree, they did look good with the stainless exterior. If only every car was made out of stainless steel, but then the car companies wouldn't make any money.

The V6 in them wasnt very impressive. I best a set of twin turbos would wake it up.

Some dumbass here had one in red. It was to hide crappy bodywork because even if you get dents out of the stainless it doesn't look uniform and it shows the flaw unless it is polished.

Decent looking '80 Burb. Kinda weird how Chevy kept the 73-79 front, but had the 81-87 style square headlights.
