Yep, slow and cautious, but what are those cautious steps? Heat it? I'm not interested in breaking the plastic manifold. The brass fitting is great info, but doesn't let me get the old one out, and there lies the problem I could see just looking at it.

I've replaced a couple of these on my trucks. I've had better luck doing it when the engine was warm; could just be coincidence. I just apply pressure very slowly. That's all the info I have.

Heat makes things expand, I'll do that, and try it, plus some torch work for good measure. Thanks guys.
