Silverado Tailgate Band Vinyl Letters?

You can always do what I did, but it's a lot of work, and a lot of work to keep up. I stripped off all of the clear coat, and paint. Buffed out the aluminum too a mirror shine, then taped and painted the letters. Oh wait, you said your tape skills aren't that good. LOL, ok, I'm showing off my work, here is a pic pic or 2, or more.

Hey great work. Looks flat did you said it down all the way flat and polish? And what did you use? I guess please explain your process
