Couldn't tell you what the current "cool" name brands are, but it was a cheap ebay setup when I bought it. I bought it for my Mazda Miata. The factory Miata remotes are crazy expensive to replace, even used. So I decided to go aftermarket. I bought the whole setup for less than half of what one used Mazda remote costs. Like I said- Its used daily and I have no problems with it at all.
