I work as a auto tech during the week and it's hard to find time to work on my baby. I picked this "jewel"(and I say this lightly now) up in late 2013. She looked good but rode like crap. No leaks, Reman motor and trans. Also had some body alignment issues.. was told by the previous owner that the truck needed bodywork and paint....

The day I brought her home.....

Time to start taking her apart and find out just what the heck was going on with the front end... It seems my fears was right.... frame bent and it had been hit on the driver side.... just enough to warp the frame..... I decided to still keep her..... so let the work begin....

Replacing the core support....

Found some more bad news... the drivers cab front frame mount was weirdly welded onto the frame... another thing to fix....

The more I dug into it.., the worse this storm became..... I see paychecks flying into the voids and disappearing in front of my eyes...

The front springs were torched to lower it..., so new front springs, spring mounts, mcnaughty's drop spindles, ball joints, outer tie-rods, new swaybar links and new mount bushings, new elco ss 2.0 turn gearbox, new upper and lower control arms, new moog control arm bushings upper and lower.., the list seems to grow bigger every day....

I bought a snap-on sandblast cabinet for the shop.., I figured I might as well put it to good use and blast the upper and lower control arms.... this is how I discovered the control arms were bent to crap...

Back to the front-end area... those parts needing to be replaced were replaced.... all parts painted with gloss black, chrome paint, and candy torch red. It's time for assembly... The coil springs were acting like ***** and didn't want to go in.... My spring compressor wasn't doing the job. I had to call in support for help... Thank God for bro's that are also gearhead and tool junkies. I fought with these coil springs for 2 days..., My bro Tony comes over and sticks them in in 30 mins.... Awesome !!

One side done ! (well almost..)

I got tired of the chrome broke-ass grill.... I wanted a phantom grill... no where could I find one in my year model.... So I decided to make my own..... took a 90 silverado grille, a 90 ss 454 grille, a 94 suburban grill, a 94 tahoe grille, and a phantom grill found in the back of a tahoe in salvage yard.... a plastic welder.., many pints of vodka and beer..., many late nights cussing this idea out... and wham... I made it to stage 1 of grille redo....
