Like asparagus.
Prefer these, but there's only a 3 week window to get 'em.
They ain't cheap either. Steamed when fresh or pickled for later.

Fiddle heads, we get a Google amount of them late spring around here. People come up from Toronto to pick them, I let them onto my property to go at it. Cause when they bloom into ferns, they are a hiding heaven for all the biting bugs here in the summer.

They're $10/lb. in the grocery stores here.

Update able to retrieve some packages. Another of my Howard Hughes bottles went missing along with Mr Hanky.
Usually porch pirates are the worst litterbugs on God's green Earth. I've seen a few boxes torn open down a few blocks.
