Nope not possible. Do you know how much spring pressure is riding on that roller? His idea is old wives tale, fiction. The idea is reducing friction,roller lifters, synthetic oils every little bit helps.Have a buddy who likes to use blended oil. He thinks full synthetic is bad for old roller motors as it's too slick and might not let the roller lifters roll because there is not enough friction to keep the rollers rolling. Me i dunno
All Vortec engines have roller lifters, it's part of the engineering package that was the next step forward.
