Your lucky you can do that cause you normally have to unbolt the motor mounts and lift the engine about 2-3 inches to clear the oil pickup.

yeah, I never took it out when I had the 4L60e in there, so that may cuase some clearance issues, but with the T56, its not too bad, not a job i enjoy by any means, but possible.

I have also changed several oil pan gasket's on these truck's all 2wd though, never had to touch the motor mount's.
