So, 92 k1500 CCSS 350 auto was leaking from the oil filter housing assembly. I took it apart and the darn gasket was hard and brittle. Replaced the gasket and put some rvt around it. And then there is the alum housing. So there are some stress cracks in it. But I can't find the replacement housing locally. Gonna have to order it.

Ok, so I went to autozone last night and that was the part they had for me. But I didn't buy it b/c I didn't realize I could just eliminate the ENTIRE piece of junk, as shown above! So, back to the autoparts store. The part was like $25 and I will need more oil! Darn! I just put in fresh oil and filter. But now it makes sense to use the Napa 7099 shorty filter to make sure it doesn't hit the front driveline.
