In Virginia there is a solid 8.1 with the accessories drive and ECM for $1,000. I forget the mileage but I don’t think it was too crazy high. Just saw the ad Saturday night.I have had one in my 99 Tahoe. Awesome engines.
that is a really cool dent sideSure it’s in a Ford, but I don’t mind. This video rules. 4-53T power.

From the horror stories I've heard about those he was #100Right alongside the guy that “engineered” the northstar.
Air starter and all..I had the chance to pick up a 4-53 cheap about 30yrs ago and passed because at the time I couldn't find a use for it. The guy brought it to me to see if I could get it running. That turned out to be an easy task. Hooked up a battery, fuel lines and shoved a water hose in the water pump. I don't think it made 4 revolutions when it lit off. Ran great!
A turbo 4-53 probably would make a good motor for ol Smoky but I want the 6V,just can't beat that sound!
that looks like it is a really tight fitAir starter and all..
