Good Lord, here's the 3rd trash can in the last 2 days. I'm a damn crap collector. One of those people from those dang hoarders shows LOL. I am such an organized guy at work, so when I finally took my rose colored glasses off, what I had going on can only be best described as organized chaos. I was just plopping like items in certain spots. The project cars became "planters", and every nook and cranny around them had stuff in it. I suppose depression the last 2 years had a lot to do with this.

Case in point, I put an upgraded factory leather wrap wheel on my new daily driver just weeks after I bought it, and have the OEM vinyl plastic steering wheel that almost all of them come with. Why am I keeping it is the question. I could list it for sale, but nobody would want it. It's like all the rest of them that everybody has. Yet I just cant bear to toss it in the dumpster. Its brand new. I keep thinking that someone will want it eventually.

So I keep stuff like this. Maybe I will fashion up a hook, and hang it from the rafters along with the old Grant GT wheel I have from my silverado that the leather cover is peeling off of. I cant bear to toss it out either. The struggle is real i tell you.

And while cleaning up today my cheap A$$ paper towel holder popped the towel roll off AGAIN !! and it unravelled all over the floor. I finally got pissed enough to finally just do something extreme about it. Again the welder came out along with the scrap tubing. I Tim Taylored a dang paper towel holder. I will get a clevis pin to lock the tube in on the one end and use a lanyard so the pin stays with the holder. Damn thing is nuclear bomb proof lol. When the paint is dry I will hang it up and post another pic. The plastic crap one is now helping to fill yet another trash can!!

I think I was going overboard with the clevis pin idea lol. It's probably not necessary as the rod doesnt even spin.

Nice side profile this morning. I love this rake. Not extreme but good looking. Dead Sexy IMHO. 2"-4" drop. 225-60s on 15x7s on the front 275-60s on 15x8s on the rear in case anybody looking is interested in the specs.

More cleanup mode. I think one of my next projects will be a sheet metal rack on 4 swivel castors. This will make things much easier for storing it. For now heres todays cleanup. Again Good Lord, I am such a crap collector. I did manage to toss that decrepit grant GT wheel after popping the horn button out. I went through my cutoff scraps and kept the useable pieces in the 2 old aircraft battery cases. The cardboard box on top of them is only temporary. It's got a bunch of misc. automotive brackets and whatnots in it. I am going to pluck out what I plan on keeping and putting it in a small plastic tub. The rest is going in the scrap trailer. The pile of junk in the yard I tossed out.

The bonus is I found a bag of 4 cheapie snap in place swivel castors while cleaning. My small shop vac had a broken wheel. These appeared to have the same shank and snapped right in place. The old decrepit ones went right in the trash can.

Best thing to sweep out a shop is the ole "Tucker broom" . A guy I used to work with used an air blower to clean out behind tool boxes and cabinets. As you might have guessed it, his last name is Tucker. No relation to Preston Tucker. Then he would blow all that right out the door. The "Tucker broom" is pretty thorough. I have been cleaning out that way for years. I sweep up the big stuff into the trash, and blow the dust out the door. All the steel grinding chips and metal shavings go right in the grass and add iron oxide to the soil.

Nothing new, back on my 8 day shift at work. Wife had to go in the shop. Shes noticed. She said it's looking a lot better. I'm still looking for crap to toss. Working my way around to the front where my refrigerator and air compressor is on my next 6 days off. That corner is pretty bad too.

Also gonna make a storage cart to put my steel and aluminum sheet on one side, and my plastic, lexan, masonite, and finish grade luan plywood on the other side. Y'all are gonna love this thing. It's going to be fantastic and will be mounted on 4 swivel castors. Will likely paint it yellow. Tonight's sketch i made of it. Looking at materials I have to incorporate into it. I dont have enough 1" square tube. I can make the base frame with what I have though I think. Will have to check when i get time.
