Kid contacted wife the other day and asked if she could come home if she payed rent. My wife told her ummm no. Dad is done with you busting up the house and the cars. When wife told me that, I was like well I guess your done with it too. She said yes.

I told her that the other part of that would be thst she would not adhere to the rules of the house, probably not find a job. If she did, we would never see any money as promised, and there would be the usual well I pay rent so you cant tell me what to do. The ugliness to everybody, and all the rest.

I also showed my wife some of the replies from those of you who are living or have lived with similar issues. I told her, you will have to unfortunately distance yourself from this kid. She is going to bring misery everywhere she goes, and do you really want to deal with that,

My son and his friends all thought that they'd move in together and wouldn't have to worry about adults telling them what to do and everybody would get along and everything would work out just peachy. He quickly realized most of his friends weren't willing to work to pay the bills, nobody wanted to clean up their own messes, and some people have no relationship tools other than bullying. He's a lot more selective about who he chooses to call "friend" now, and he's had to cut ties with some. It took some serious struggles, but it seems like he gets it now.

So Grac told my wife she will be by to take her cat. We got a shelter pet for her in hopes that it would help her. Well Grac was never home, never bonded with her. This cute thing bonded with me and especially my wife. This kitty absolutely adores my wife. I told my wife Grac does not get to take the cat. It would be too cruel to her and you. My wife gave Grac $100 and said the cat is now mine. Now go away. Cats are not things. They have feelings too. I told my wife that this is a preview of how shes gonna be heaven forbid she has kids. You can see by the pix and the look in her eyes that she has her human and is happy.

Well Grac will never be completely out of our lives, but she is out of our house. As such, I am starting to get my creative bent back. I made a nice high bright LED mount bracket for my DD since I cant see the under seat storage when I flip up the back seat at night. I bought a bi color red/white LED light designed for a side by side buggy off Amazon. After using clear plastic to make a template that I fitted to make sure it clears when the seat is down, I made a light mount out of scrap 18GA shelving material i have at the house for fab projects. Going to wire it up with a mercury switch and tie into the dome lamp circuit.

That VHT black wrinkle paint I used is the best stuff ever.

That VHT black wrinkle paint I used is the best stuff ever.

It ties in with the rough finish of the plastic of the light housing, sometimes a gloss finish is all wrong and that is one of them.
