LS swap in my 2500 2wd?

hey fellas, need some advice. i have the chance to buy an ls1 or a 355 sbc blueprint motor, but the thing is would it be pointless putting either one of those motors in my heavy truck? i cant lift it and out big tires on it cause its 2wd, and i cant lower it cause its 3/4 ton. should i find something else?

His is a 2500 2WD, he'd need new spindles in order to be able to safely lift it.

The process of the swap is the same. The only thing that you have to worry about on 2wd is the oil pan hanging abou 1.5 inches below the frame which it will do lifted or lowered. If that is an issue then you just need an LS1 Camaro oIl pan, pick up and windage tray.
