lifting a 2wd...worth it?

if you already use it on backroads and light trails whats the harm in lifting it. it might be a "waste of money" to some.
but if it works as it is now a lift would just help you clear more. i dont see the harm

I agree with this. I don't have a problem with lifted 2WD's are lowered 4WD's. It depends a lot on where you live. People in Cali who have nothing but deserts and no snow don't need a 4x4, but lifted trucks still look good and allow for bigger tires.

The thing is with what he wants to do with the truck, it would give him a lot more capabilities if he had a 4x4.
