LED Hazard/ Emergency Flasher Relay

I just got slightly worried as it dawned on me that I have not tried the emergency lights with my led switchbacks on the sierra. I have a plug play resistor harness and the original flasher. thankfully it works perfectly.

With all led conversion your probably have to go with electronic hazard flasher also.

Still no luck.. im gona order another relay that handles more led’s. Maybe thats the issue

I still think you have a wiring issue.
@someotherguy may know if the flashers are different in the pre-facelift trucks, but I don't have an issue in my 98

Going the wrong way chief. The flasher's issue isn't that it can't handle the LED's. There aren't flashers that "handle more" LED's. LED's don't present ENOUGH of a draw on the flasher for it to operate correctly; it is expecting more of a current draw because it is designed for incandescent bulbs. LED's draw LESS current, WAY less. This is why one of the potential fixes for hyperflash is to install resistors, so you would add load to the circuit to replace what you removed when you swapped LED's in place of incandescent.

I could not find a hazard flasher relay already installed… think its a EL12? Supposibly above the rest of the fuse box… that was my next hunt also.

It’s storming ass rain this week with this other hurricane/ storm barreing down so im pulling 20 hr days again. Will be weekend before i can really trace wires.

But i have no fkn idea where to begin lol
