Intake manifold Question

Hey y'all,

Got a question regarding intake manifolds for the 5.7 Vortec.

Is it allowable to put a performance (like Edelbrock) intake manifold on a relatively stock engine?

The only mods I have on the engine is CAI, throttle body spacer, and performance plugs/wires.

first off throttle body spacer does nothing for vortec, what CAI most arent even cold air. sure you can put a vortec-carb manifold on it and mpfi swap it with a 411 pcm and such but i the motors stock then whats the sense?
