In channel vent visor clips

Hey guys, wondering if anyone can guide me as to how the metal clips go on the window rubber to hold the outer edge of the avs in-channel vent visors for these trucks. i put the clip in how i think it should go, but the rubber doesnt fit good at all, kind of pushed away from the door.

I bought a set of those and never could get them to fit right. Ended up ditching them and going with the stick on ones, which I also later ditched because I quit smoking and realized I didn't like the look of window visors at all.

yeah i'm gonna return them just like someone else already did. they dont fit good at all. plus i wanted the stick on ones anyway..
