Digital calipers and a thread pitch gauge. I always know what size the thing is now.

Cheap multimeters work fine and they're essential for electrical diagnosis.

A transmission jack is pretty cheap as jacks go, extremely useful for slightly raising, lowering, aligning anything heavy.

Flex head ratchets, necessary at times and the Pittsburgh Pro one is actually decent.

Noga heavy duty deburring tool. The flexplate I bought would NOT fit on my crank, but six loops later with the deburring tool it was just fine. Also very nice for taking any sharp edge off metal.
