Dumb transmission question

Hi everyone
My truck
93 GMC C1500 Sierra SLE 423,000 miles
5.7 with a recently rebuilt 4L60E trans

I'm about to rebuild my drive shaft, 3 new Moog U joints and a carrier bearing. Carrier bearing sounds like its grinding corn.

My question

When I pull it out will the transmission fluid run out?

Not much - especially if you jack up the rear end higher than the front.
