Has anybody changed a door glass run? I’m getting some wind noise that I think is coming from the driver’s diss window. I’ve already replaced the door seal which was also bad. Are the LMC door glass runs any good? They’re much cheaper than OEM.

I'd be far more suspicious of the fit of the door to the cab due to hinge wear.

If you get it from Classic Parts in KC it will be Precision Brand, which is my go-to for weather stripping.

I had trouble with the driver's side rear door on my Suburban with the LMC branded product. Sent me 3 of them and none of them would allow the window to roll all the way up.

Do a dollar bill test around the door. I have had 2 of the GMT400 trucks and both of them were too light at the door to a pillar contact point on the passenger side.

I believe either the body side or the door side hinge mount needs to be bent to get the door to align properly.

Love Classic Parts too.

I used the LMC window runs on mine. They didn't fit the door frame well, but they're on there doing their job. The passenger side run is very tight on the window and it makes the window run very slowly even with a brand new motor/regulator.

New GM ones were still available a while ago for my 98 truck and fit fine (as expected).

X2 for OEM GM. They're expensive, but they work. I bought a GM replacement for my red truck years ago and it fit great.
