Crazy how big/tall the 1500s are nowadays. The tailgate/bed rails on the new one are crazy high for a 1500

Yeah that's why they have to have ladders on the gates to get in the truck....

Yeah when I get picked up at work, it's hard to see Rawhide in the parking lot because the newer SUVs and pickups are taller than he is(pretty bad when he is a one ton!). Most of the vehicles in the lot(Costco in a nice part of central Houston) are probably 5 years old or newer.
