All finished, no leaks while running at idle and after retightening top oil cooler line, fan, pulley cove, and thermostat housing painted matte black

Buying a used radiator is a bit sketchy. I did that with my '94 Ford Ranger and also bought a used heater core. Seeing the pics now, it doesn't LOOK bad, but it's more risky and I wouldn't do it knowing what I know now.

Did the radiator at the junkyard have a cap with it? If so, I would just use that. Either that, or buy a radiator cap for a GMC K3500 with the 7.4l

So far so good with the cap I got, the original was plastic with no ears, at least that's what was in it and ut was broken

Agreed, however budget for this immediate repair dictated my decision. $30 vs $200++
