Condenser/oil cooler

Done with exception of filling the AC...(I'll get a better pic (it was dark). Fired her up and no leaks.


FYI: The oil cooler is the last (6) double rows (front to back). All else above is AC condenser.

The new OEM one is slightly different though in (2) aspects...

1. My old one the AC drier bottle attaches on both the front and back side edge of the the condenser. The new one only has (2) holes for the bracket on the front.
2. There are no holes (2) on the passenger side edge of condenser for the coolant overflow bottle bracket.

I ran a ~2.25 in piece of bicycle inner tube along the bottom bracket that the condenser sits in. I also added added (3) 3.5in strips along the top (left-mid-right) edges where it bolts against frame.

Quick question...

Should I even bother replacing the AC drier bottle? The AC was working fine without issue prior to my evacuating it to replace the condenser/oil cooler.

I would. Moisture can due nasty things to an A/C system.

Always. The dessicant wears out, especially if you reopen the system.

Went ahead and rigged up the filter for incoming grill air...(Cut to size HVAC 3M filter media) high efficiency weatherproof 100% polyester woven. Can be washed out. That should greatly reduce the crap coming in.
