Can I use a morse floor shifter from a turbo 400 on a 4l80e? Are there any other junkyard shifters?

I'm hoping that the morse turbo 400 floor shifter will work on my 4l80e and just will not let me into 1st gear since its one gear short. Would this work? Does anyone know of some junkyard options for floor shifters? I can live with PRND at a minimum, but I would like all the gear options of course.

Thanks
Nick

What is a "morse shifter"?

OEM shifters that use a cable can be converted from 3 to 4 speed by replacing the detent plate. Seems to be very common when stuffing a 700 into various older cars--Camaros, Chevelles, etc.

Here's a kit to convert an OEM floor shifter for a first-gen Camaro.

The larger issue will be in keeping the ignition interlock/shifter system. The OEMs used a rod from shifter to steering column to synchronize shifter position to ignition lock cylinder position.
