Taking rear driveshaft loose to change the carrier bearing, I snapped a bolt loose. It busted off where the threads start, so it is about a half inch inside of the yoke. It almost looks like you can drill it out and run it out the back side. I was curious if that is the beat course of action or not. Thanks

Busted flush? Or busted down in side?

I have drilled and chased the threads but with it being cast its a PITA to chase the threads. Best bet us to try an easy out (if you can get one in there) but dont break it off in there.

If its flush weld a nut to the end of it. The weld wont stick to the cast yoke.

Last option is replacing the yoke.

He does come off that way, but remember......Mr. Rogers was also a Marine Scout Sniper in Vietnam also, so don't let the small, soft spoken stature fool you.

But seriously, Bleepin Jeep has been making good videos for a while. I used alot his videos when I had my XJ. Good mod that he has listed here, would like to see it on a GMT400

Sorry for the wait for a reply.it is not busted flush. It is broke about a half inch in, right after where the threads start. I will have to see if I can get an easy out that fits. I hope I don't have to replace the yoke. I priced some on rockauto and the are well north of 100.
