I want to build a bull bar. My buddy welds and is gonna make one for me and just charge me for the metal. I'm gonna bedline it after. What is the stock bumpers on our trucks made out of? I ask because it would be cheaper to put a bull bar on my stock bumper. I don't know much about welding besides that you have to have a special welder for aluminum. This is my truck:

This is exactly how I want the bullbar

P.S.: Yes I know my truck looks terrible with the stock rims. Now that my truck has the look I want, I am gonna lift it 6 inches in the front and 5 in the back, and put some black rims with some mts on it. Just gotta get the money saved up, high school - minimum wage problems.

The bumper is made outta steel...

Just to clearify...not picking at yah... a bull bar is usually just a "hoop" that goes in/over the center area of the bumper, almost like a mini push bar. What you are wanting is considered a prerunner bar setup. Easier to see difference by pics. Quick Google search will show yah..

But I've always liked the prerunner style front bumper look wether it's a full prerunner bumper or just the add on style bats (as long as they are tight to the grill and don't stick out to to far)..
