It's a '99-up 1/2 ton master cylinder which firms up the pedal. I hate the long, squishy pedal these came with. It's pretty much a bolt-on deal, you just have to massage the lines a little and use one adapter fitting. Overall braking seems to the same, but I think using the later model dual-diaphram booster along with 3/4 ton calipers and drilled/slotted rotors will make a big difference.
