Got a relatively low mileage gm crate motor from a 2001 workhorse route truck. Bread truck for those wondering. Its a vortec 5.7 same as a c1500 or the like. It was pulled because the tech removing the leaking exhaust manifold broke a stud then drilled to far into head. Burst a water journal.
I took possession of it knowing i need heads. My plan is new heads,a cam, and go to carburated or the FItech system.
Any help with parts list would be awesome and things to look out for. Also will old sbc accessory brackets fit the vortec block?
