No. Thats what I did to the brush guards with the dupli-color bed armor.
I'm sorry man, I promise I'm not trying to be difficult or anything, but all of the links for Bed Armor I'm seeing say rubberized. Unless I'm looking at the wrong stuff, or not filling understanding something. There's one not labeled as bed armor that doesn't say anything about being rubberized , though.

Sorry man I misunderstood the question. I was referring to the rubberized undercoating stuff. A lot of people think it is just as tough as bed liner but it's very soft when it dries. I think all bed liner is "rubberized" to an extent. But it's a lot harder when it dries, but still pliable enough to take a hit without chipping. I'm no expert in this field, but this is what I used and have had great results with it. LineX would be better but like you said it not something you can do yourself. Plus it kind of expensive. This is what I used to do the brush guards. Just a link, I picked it up at the local parts store.

Awesome, thank you very much for taking the time to help out. I'll pick some up and try it out, when I get the chance to do it

Used the duplicate aerosol bed armor in my grille last weekend, and I personally love the way it came out. I'll be sanding down the bumpers and coating them later on. I'm really happy with how it turned out, thanks for the help!

Do you recall how many cans you went through? What did your prep include? My cousin has a sandblasting that he's going to let me use, would that be enough, or do I need to go further than just that?

I lightly scuffed, then preps-all it, and did a ton of light coats. The trick is light and even coating. As far as prep goes, it sticks good to a rougher, abrasive and clean surface as opposed to a flat steel or bare/raw metal. I bought 5 cans total, but use more where needed: the bumper used more then the grill because i wanted a thicker coat. Best of luck! Patience is key.

This one was while it was still wet. But you can see the texture

I'm sorry to say, the new, freshly lined grille lasted from last Friday, to Thursday. I decided it'd be a good idea to rear end someone. Pretty minimal damage to me, but the grille did suffer, haha
