Its hard to solder a wire that big. I crimped mine with a hammer, a flat chisel, and a bench vise. It worked grate. I guess I got a good deal on my connectors, and fuse holders. I don;t remember how much the connectors were, but the fuse holders were $10 each.

I've seen crimp tools that fit in a vice. I have some marine mechanic friends. I'll bet they have one

Here's a really handy little tool for crimping ends on large wires.

You set the wire end with your connector of choice under the little spike, then give it a good whack with a hammer. I've used mine a bunch, works great.

It might not fit your existing bracket. The high output alternators are larger in diameter and the holes don't line up. Learned this the hard way.

I ended up just getting one from a local supplier. I wanted to get it running. Mine is a work truck and doesn't have a lot of accessories. I'll do the big 3 upgrade next. I'm thinking of selling it anyhow. I really want an ecsb
