Wiring is coming along too. It was a sickening mess a few weeks ago, but many new connectors are on and the rat's nest is getting tamed. I welded a little plate on the front of the ecm bracket to mount relays. The first one going on is the 4wd relay for the transfer case synchronizer that was inexplicably just hanging from the firewall originally. The whole 4wd circuit is being rewired, since the original routing burned up the insulation going too close to the right-side exhaust manifold.

I'm gonna steal that fuel line setup, would you possibly care to make some kind of write up we could post in the 454 thread? @Mangonesailor and I had discussed it previously but I don't think any documentation was shown from someone who did it previously.

Love to!

Speaking of fuel system, at 0 manifold vacuum, fuel pressure should be 58 psi?

Thanks! There hasn't been much progress lately with consecutive days of 119° here in phx..

If you set it to 58 psi at 0 vacuum, then you will have less than 58 psi at idle. Set the regulator to 58 at idle and you will be above 58 at full throttle(but still the same relative pressure compared to the manifold). I am planning on setting mine to 58 psi at idle and tuning around that

As I understand it, max rail pressure should happen at minimum vacuum, and max fuel pressure is normally 58-60. How high will your pressure go?

Ecu will usually have a set psi for zero vacuum and then it knows what pressure you have as vacuum increases. At idle lower pressure is fine. Or for vacuum referenced fpr, it should keep the pressure constant with change in vacuum
