I was looking for a pre '95, K-sumthin. The perfect truck for me is a '94 extended cab long bed, but then I found this.

It was an hour drive to pick it up, and we agreed on $1000, he initially wanted $1500. There was a catch though.

He cracked the block by not using antifreeze, followed by letting it sit for a couple years. I paid $250 for a 350 out of a '91. I then tore it down and took all the parts to my local machine shop. Yesterday afternoon the machinist called and said the cylinders were too worn to just be honed, so he's going to bore it .30 over and give it back to me. By next weekend I should have it built and put in the engine bay.
In the meantime I ordered it some new shoes.

Any of y'all ever ran these? How do you like them?
