Transmission was doing great no signs of slipping or weird noises , but driving home from work I could feel it lose power , if I feathered the gas it would keep moving and being that I was less than a mile from home I was able to make it and I mean just make it , all forward gears were gone and also reverse . I checked the fluid which looked fine not burnt or low .
Let the truck sit for about an hour started it and everything was like normal all gears strong pulling for about 5 minutes then nothing lost all gears again . Thinking about changing filter to see if that helps but would like some input on what others think it might be

So, it would seem heat/temp related. When it's acting up badly can you shift from neutral to reverse and feel it engage?
