Are the 94 4wd front axles the same in the 1500 and 2500 the same or is the 2500 a heavier duty unit ? Thanks.

The 2500 is a heavier unit, a lot of differences.

The 1500's IFS diff is a 8.25" ring gear and the 8lug 2500's use a 9.25" front diff.
