92 Blazer rear glass hatch wont "pop".

Hoping you guys can help me.

Issue 1.....
So it takes two people to open my rear glass hatch. One to press the button and one to lift the glass. It doesnt "pop" out when the button is pushed but it pulls out freely.

Issue 2.....
It stays up nicely when lifted, but when let down it feels VERY heavy as it gets close to the closed position.

Issue 3.....
When the glass hatch is closed and latched, I can pull out on it enough to cause the interior lights to come on, like a 1/4 inch or so. That doesnt seem right.

Sounds to me like an adjustment issue with the popping and the interior lights issue. Make sure the rubber pads that hold it when closed are in good shape and that the latching mechanism isnt worn to all hell. The closing issue is your shocks for sure. I had all sorts of issues with my hatch on my old Cherokee, replaced the latch, the loop and shocks and the thing was better than new.
